Etsy Want Wednesday - Nerd Herder!

Rockitbot's Nerd Herder wallet has made me squee with glee! I've actually ordered this product (and even asked for some alterations) simply because it's just.. well.. cool.

This thing can pretty much hold all the little things you drag around with you. Phone, credit card, ID's, SD cards, headphones... all sorts O stuffs! Rockitbot was more than happy to make a few little adjustments for me.. I wanted a wrist strap, I wanted a small snappy thing to keep my phone in place.. No problem!

The incredible amount of choice you have in fabrics will kinda make you go Omg! too.

For $28.00, this is definitely a budget friendly must have.

Etsy Want Wednesday: Unique Felt Gift Wrap

While poking around Etsy for a new phone case (no Neoprene cookie cutter phone case for me!) I found this reusable felt mailer idea. I love items that are simple, yet uniquely inventive.

I was really excited at the thought of sending this via mail to someone, but apparently it's not for sending items through the US postal system. It's "gift wrap". Still, very creative!

smalladventure's shop has great prints and other inventive sewn felt items. I highly suggest a peek.

Amusing Book Shelves with Doggy Style.

I'm a cat person, but can't overlook the fact that this furniture is simply amusing and smile inducing. The Pack of Dogs furniture collection created in 2007 by Ricardo Casas, Héctor Esrawe, Emiliano Godoy, Cecilia León de la Barra and Oscar Nuñez, features versatile pieces shaped like dogs in different positions and named after Mexican wrestlers.

The Hive Coffee Table, a lovely way to spend LOTS of money.

The "Hive Coffee Table" is really.. well.. cool. I love the geeky use of name, but mostly I just think this is really a gorgeous piece of artwork for your home. Here's the thing. This gorgeous piece of artwork COSTS as much as a gorgeous piece of artwork. This is not a table you'd sit your kiddies at with cryons and coloring book (not JUST because the crayons would slip through the holes).

$1,650.00 is a bit steep for something like this (IMO) but personally I think it's pretty inspiring. Why not buy a cheap glass top table and paint it like this? Hmm.. may be a good idea.

Anyway.. the colors are neat, and the table is super cool and can be purchased at Yliving.com.

2 Cute 4 Words - Why not go cute in da house?

Shanalogic's Mini Birdcage Pillow makes me want to squeel with joy!

Check out this adorable mini throw pillow by mymimi! It features a unique illustration of two super-sweet birds hanging out in their lovely birdcage! Each mini pillow is 7.5"x6"x 2.5" deep and would add cuteness to any room! Buy one or mix and match!

I want to buy 10 of these and wallow in cuteness all damn day! $18.00 is not a bad deal, either!

I realize cute is in the eyes of the beholder, and yes, this little mouse is dead (as made obvious by the x's for eyes, which everyone knows means your dead) but seriously? It's got pom pom trim! Almost anything is cute with pom pom trim (not huge pimp cars though. Not cute)

The Cherry Box has an entire obnoxiously adorable line called "Plushkill Forest". I would like ALL of them. I'd line my entryway hallway with them, complete with small plaques denoting what each one was. SO scary cute!
$48.00

I have no clue why you would want these. But they are cute. And I happen to be a big supporter of toast. Personally, I think sharpening the edges of toast turn plain bread into a scary weapon. Just think of it. Biodegradable Japanese Throwing Toast! Scary.. not kidding. BUT.. these aren't scary. They're just cute.

I love Etsy for "Cuteness"..I also love Etsy for the sheer pleasure of finding some wacky people making really odd stuff.

These are created by toshiiiko for $16.00.

Well HELLO Mr. Cuteybird McSweetie!

At FredFlare function meets feathered friends with this set of tweety wall hooks! Sold only as a surprise assortment in a merry mix
of pink, green, brown and white with all hardware included. They are almost too sweet to use!

In my other browser window I'm launching an order for these. Two for $20 bucks ain't a bad deal.. and OMG how adorably adorable are they?

Mac Book Book - Novel Idea!

Now this is a great idea! So neat looking. At $79.99 it's not all that 'necessary' for carrying your Mac book around, but it is pretty cool looking.

BookBook is a one-of-a-kind, hardback leather case designed exclusively for MacBook and MacBook Pro. Available in Classic Black or Vibrant Red, BookBook brings three levels of security to your prized Mac. First, the hardback cover and spine provide solid protection from the rigors of the road. Second, the vintage book design disguises MacBook for superior security. And third, the stylish case protects you from being like everyone else because BookBook is totally original, just like you.

Tree Railings

This may be one of the most gorgeous railings I've ever seen. Of course, I'm unsure if this is to code in the US, because the US is a bunch of artistic cock blockers. ..heh.

Anyway... this is a creation by imagination in metals. Apparently they're brilliant :)

Seaside Terrariums

With winter weather taking it's toll...(meaning "If I don't get real sunlight I may just stab someone in the forehead") I've been looking towards items that may bring a bit of summer into the house. I found these (Gorgeous!) terrariums by Litill ltd.

Far pricier than I really want to pay - $225 - $500 (but with a bit of research easily reproducable. Obviously the glass globes are not something you'd see at Target, but who says they have to be exactly the same? A nice round trifle bowl may work just as well.

Target Offers Retro Breadbox

I love that Target offers such cool stuff. Especially since they offer it at prices that normal people can afford easily.

$14.99 for these ultra cool metal breadboxes. I'm so getting one (although I'd really love it if they had offered these in that pale retro pink.)

Barky Turntable at Anthropologie: Yes, $1,298.00 is a HUGE amount of money to spend on a turntable.. but seriously.. LOOK at this thing! It's absolute perfection! I'm a huge Anthropologie fan normally, but now I may just bump them to the top of the list.

A pitch-perfect piece of nature, this smooth slice of ashwood is outfitted with a Premotech motor and a Rega tonearm, a weighty glass platter and adjustable spike legs. By Audiowood.

Unique bike basket is a work of art.

Design House Stockholm offers the " Carrie Bike Basket" for a pretty good price. Not super cheap, but if you want your bike to be unique, it's pretty affordable! I love them, although I do so wish they came in more than two colors (white & green).

Fire Burning in the Living Room

I may be irrevocably in love with this fire table by Planika Fires. Can you imagine this on a cool fall night? Or maybe instead of candles on date night? I think adding a table top fountain nearby would be perfect. They have outdoor models too, all modern and gorgeous and wish list worthy!

According to Planika Fires, they use a special liquid FANOLA®. The fire is free of smoke or smell and is a biologically clean product of plant origin. Only water vapour and CO2 are emitted - in proportions similar to those contained in the air exhaled by humans.

Their website states "FANOLA®, burning in Planika Fires as well as in other equipment with open fire requires a regular provision of air (room ventilation system in a good working condition). In apartment conditions (with small cubic capacity) a slightly opened window will do."

All I can say is DO WANT!!!

Considering a Change to Swedish

I've been considering changing the colors/decor in my living room recently. Of course, being unemployed means I need to do this on the cheap (or postpone it). I certainly don't want to postpone it... so I'm hoping I can figure out some cheapy ways to get what I want. I'm thinking spending money on just some couch covers (my current couches are black Ikea couches)

ANYWAY... Looks like I'm gonna have to go with light/whites... here's some inspirational images I found at Design Home Interior.

Little Landscapes

I found this site a while back and was SO impressed. Honestly, I did 'Fairy Gardens" for my wedding centerpieces, but they were not at all as elaborate as these little living gems.

Take a look through the site, Little Landscapes, to see some of the amazing mini garden's they offer. Honestly, my thoughts on these are to make them yourselves. I would think if you have some little ones they'd LOVE the thought of planting and making mini gardens with you.

BUT... I'm too much of a kid to resist doing these on my own (I'll let my cats help, maybe).

Mushroom Forest Coffee Table

Honestly, I'm not sure if I would consider this adult or kids furniture, but I'm thinking that placing this in my garden would be FAB! Can you imagine how adorable it would look surrounded by flowers and such? What a great place for a tea-party. (Although at $995 per table I'm guessing I'd have to by a box of $1.99 Lipton)

Tiny Terrariums

While doing some 'window' shopping on Etsy (My favorite haunt) I found these wonderful little terrariums. I've tried to make a few myself, but have always used orchids (which I promptly kill... I'm a serial orchid killer).

madebymavis on etsy.com has created this little beauty, and has several for sale. I've also heard (although I can't confirm) through the grapevine that she's very open to giving you suggestions and helping you create your own little paradise.

I'm going moss hunting this weekend!

Do you ever wonder if designers are simply messing with us? I get the distinct impression some designer made this and giggled... "hehehehe... lets see if people take this seriously and actually buy one!"

Architecture Inspiration - I Heart This Staircase

Simply the most amazing staircase I've ever seen. This is one for the scrapbook (yes, I keep a lame scrapbook of things I like and want to have some day... I'm friggin' materialistic like that)

Apartment Therapy, just the best site ever, has a ton of super cool pictures of this.
